Snow Removal- Team Member
On-Call | As Needed | Seasonal
Haney’s Mowing & Landscaping is looking for dependable team members to assist with snow and ice removal throughout the winter season. This position involves clearing snow from parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, and other assigned areas to help keep our customers’ properties safe and accessible.
This is an on-call, as-needed position. Team members must be available to respond when winter weather creates a need for snow removal services. Work hours will vary depending on weather conditions, and shifts may occur overnight, early in the morning, on weekends, or during holidays.
Key Responsibilities

Snow Plowing: Operate trucks, plows, and other equipment to clear snow from parking lots, driveways, and assigned properties, as qualified.

Sidewalk Clearing: Remove snow from sidewalks, walkways, entrances, and other pedestrian areas using shovels, snow blowers, or other equipment.

Ice Management: Apply salt or ice-melt products to designated areas as directed.

Maintain Quality: Ensure assigned areas are cleared thoroughly and meet company standards.

Follow Safety Procedures: Operate equipment safely and use proper techniques when working in winter conditions.

Care for Equipment: Report equipment issues, damage, or maintenance needs promptly.

Communicate with the Team: Follow instructions, communicate with supervisors, and provide updates on completed work or site concerns.

Respond When Needed: Be available for on-call work during snow and ice events, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications & Skills

Dependable, punctual, and willing to work when winter weather demands it.

Ability to work outdoors in cold, snowy, and icy conditions.

Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.

Willingness to work irregular hours, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Valid driver’s license required for driving duties; additional driving qualifications may apply depending on the position.

Previous snow removal, plowing, or equipment operation experience preferred, but not required for all roles.

Ability to safely perform physical tasks, including shoveling and moving snow.
